The recent pandemic crisis has imposed a global scenario of uncertainty. The generalized social confinement and the migration from face-to-face teaching to an emerging virtual modality have forced an emergency readjustment in all educational stages with enormous deficiencies. This work analyzes the gaze of a group made up of students from the University of Almería (Spain) facing the current state of emergency from a descriptive quantitative methodological conception, based on the design and application of an instrument made up of four thematic blocks: profile general student body, socioeconomic characterization of the family nucleus; perception of the current virtual educational modality; and assessment of their life experience in this phase of confinement. The main results confirm the inexistence of barriers to access, use and skills in relation to technological devices, in addition, that this emergency mode and its evaluation system are perceived by students as more demanding than the face-to-face system.
