Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Dear author
    This Open Journal Systems platform is at your disposal, but we would appreciate it if you also send the file to the following email address: indtec.ca@gmail.com in Word format, indicating in the "subject" if it is an Article or an Essay.
  • As part of the submission process, the authors are required to verify compliance of presentation with all of the following elements:
    1. For the submission of manuscripts, it is required that all articles are original and unpublished and that they are not simultaneously postulated in other journals or editorial bodies for publication, neither in Spanish nor in any other language, until a final decision is made (or has provided an explanation in the Comments for the editor).
    2. The submission file is in the format: Microsoft Word (* .doc, * .docx), OpenOffice (* .odt), or rich text format (* .rtf).
    3. The template provided by the Revista Scientific has been used to send the presentation (template for Articles, template for Essays).
    4. The manuscript has a Title in Arial font, in size of twelve (12) points; Centered; in normalized spelling(those in upper case are not accepted) and bold (maximum 15 words). This should be concise, easy to understand and correspond strictly to what is presented in the Article.
    5. The name of the author or authors must appear justified on the right margin of the page. The following data must be included for each author, in full: names and surnames, institutional affiliation (without abbreviations), email (in lowercase), geographic location (city, country) and ORCID registration (https://orcid.org/register).
    6. The abstract will have a maximum of 200 words (in Spanish and English).
    7. The keywords should be between three and five, separated using the punctuation and punctuation, semicolon ";" and in lowercase letters, among them can be included short phrases that describe significant topics of the manuscript (using the terms of the Thesaurus of UNESCO by area of knowledge).
    8. Use the Classification Code offered by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which is an International Nomenclature for the fields of Science and Technology, as a knowledge classification system constituted in a tree Elementary ontological that allows managing the information of research and development projects.     9. The manuscript will be sent in letter size, on one side only, the text will have line spacing of 1.5; the Arial font will be used, in size of twelve (12) points; margins are used: 4 cm (top and left) and 3 cm (bottom and right) and all the illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places of the text, instead of at the end.
    10. The sections of the article should be organized using the decimal system: Ex.: 1. Introduction, 2. Theory and concepts, 2.1. Integrated system, 2.2. Theories of contingencies, 3. Methodology, etc.
    11. Expressions in a language other than Spanish must be presented in italics and must not exceed twenty-five (25) words throughout the article.
    12. When acronyms are used, the corresponding name must be written unextensited the first time it appears, followed by the acronym in parentheses.
    13. The citations and references meet the criteria established in the APA rules for authors of the journal.
    14. Whenever possible, URLs will be provided for references. (Links or hyperlinks must work correctly and contain the information cited).
    15. At the end of the paper, the author must include a brief review of the author's professional career, which should not exceed 100 words, with a photo digitized in *.PNG or *.JPG high definition format, in depth. white type color card, including: full names, email, city and country of birth.
    16. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines, which appear in About the journal.
    17. The author has followed the instructions included in the section Ensure a blind peer review.
    18. Once you have made the necessary adjustments to your article or essay, proceed to send: the Letter of Originality, the Letter of Assignment of Rights filled and signed, the Statement of Conflict of Interest, the Resume of the author and co-author. it is from the manuscript, the digital image of the national identity document (in color) and the document adapted to the template of the Revista Scientific, complying with the Author Guidelines. (In case of Program or Project, the Declaration Form of the program or project must be completed).
  • The journal does not charge authors for sending articles, nor for publishing them once accepted. Nor readers to access their content.
  • I have read and accept the author's responsibilities that guarantee the ethical principles of the scientific publication.
  • The author or authors declare not to violate any ethical issue (such as plagiarism or self-plagiarism, fictitious authorship, data manipulation, duplicate publication, fragmented publication or copying of third-party material without authorization).
  • All authors and their metadata will be included during the submission process. I also declare, as responsible for the presentation, that this document does not have more authors. (No more authors can be added in the editing process).

  • It should be understood that, throughout the review process, it is prohibited for the contribution to follow a parallel review process in another journal.
  • Texts that do not comply with the guidelines of the present orientations will be rejected without any academic evaluation. The authors will be notified of the reason for the rejection, and they will be able to forward the text, once they have made the relevant changes to adapt it to the terms of these guidelines.

Mission

Revista Scientific (e-ISSN: 2542-2987), is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed quarterly publication (February-April), (May-July), (August-October), (November-January), of the Instituto Internacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico Educativo (INDTEC), published uninterruptedly since 2016, which can be exchanged with another journal. In it, scientific articles and essays are published in the area of ??Social Sciences and disciplines such as Environment, Communication, Education, Management, Information, Sociology and Technology, among others. It includes articles that must be novel, essays, reviews and research advances, which are submitted to the consideration of qualified referees, and they directly express the opinions of their authors and not necessarily those of the Editorial Committee. The main purpose of Revista Scientific is to publish the results of the research carried out in Higher Education Institutions at the International level, to contribute to scientific progress. It also accommodates researchers from other Institutions outside its borders..

To be the International benchmark for Publications of Scientific productions at an Educational level, at different levels in Latin America and the Caribbean, with high quality standards and methodological rigor.

Objectives

The objective of Revista Scientific is to disseminate scientific and technological knowledge, through original results, the product of scientific research, which represent a contribution to the development of science and technology. It includes works, products of scientific research and theoretical reflections that, due to their relevance, deserve to be published, and in this way contribute to making intellectual production visible in the areas of education and social sciences..

Scope

Revista Scientific is aimed at researchers, teachers, students and the academic audience at different levels (Initial, Basic, University), as well as the scientific community in general and other people involved in the educational fact.

In order to maintain the quality of the publication and its impartiality and ethics, the articles or essays received are evaluated by two external reviewers (peer-review) considered experts on the subject by Revista Scientific: Multidisciplinary Arbitred Journal of Socio Educational Research, which accredits those selected collaborators as such, taking place a double-blind review, (authors-evaluators). In case of discrepancy, a third evaluation will be used, also in a double-blind process and following the publication rules of the journal. The evaluators will act under the criteria of competence, confidentiality, impartiality and honesty, diligence, respect and courtesy..

Author Guidelines

The Academic Editorial Committee of Revista Scientific has established the following rules for the articles that will be submitted to arbitration for publication.

The journal agrees to review scientific articles related to the focus and scope of the journal.

Research section

  • The submitted works must be original and unpublished scientific research articles, the result or advances of a research process or a deep theoretical reflection that constitutes a significant contribution to the development of knowledge in the humanistic, educational, managerial and technological areas.
  • Additionally, the last section of the magazine is intended for the publication of contributions and essays on topics related to the academic or social area.

Extension, format and structure

  • The article/essay will have a minimum length of ten (10) and a maximum of twenty (20) written pages, including notes, tables and references.
  • When the support of graphs, tables, charts, photos or maps is required, without exceeding two, the author must send it by internet to the email indicated above, (without importing them from Word; the graphs, tables and charts in the original format and photos or maps, in *.PNG or *.JPG format, maintaining the structure of the document) and indicating the place and page where they will be placed, or if these are to be included as an annex or appendix to the article. In any case, they must be of sufficient quality and legible to allow optimal reproduction..

Aspects that the article must contain

  • Abstract: The works will have an informative summary in Spanish and English (abstract), where the problem studied, the objective, the methods used and the main results and conclusions are stated, with an extension of no more than (200) words and in a single paragraph to a single space. Under both abstracts and in the respective language, no less than three descriptors (03) or keywords and a maximum of (5) keywords of the article/essay should be indicated (using the terms of the UNESCO Thesaurus by area). knowledge).

*The Abstract must be a coherent translation, not the product of an internet translator.

  • Introduction: It must contain a clear and simple statement of the problem, the previous references to approach it, the possible questions and assumptions that guided the work, objective and the approach that the author used.
  • Body (theory and concepts, methodology, analysis of results and discussion): This section describes how the work was done. The activities, materials and procedures that were used or carried out are incorporated into the narrative as the procedure followed is explained. In general, the sequence to present the details could be: definition of the methodology, object and subject of study, procedure and way of collecting and analyzing the results.
  • Conclusions: Here the author extracts and formulates with precision the conclusions reached in the discussion, but without stating the reasons that allowed him to reach them. If the work allows it, recommendations can be made. By reading this section, anyone can quickly learn about the findings obtained during the investigation. This section can be written separately or incorporated into the discussion. Also, at the author's discretion, it may be omitted.

*No premature conclusions will be made of work still in progress.

  • References: References must comply with the rules of the APA (American Psychological Association) system, following the general guidelines indicated below: First surname, First initial. (year). Title of the article in bold. City and Country where it was published: Publisher's name, first and last pages, pp. xx-xx. (The links or hyperlinks must work correctly and contain the aforementioned information).

*Every article must have an Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusions and References.

*All essays must have Introduction, Development, Conclusions and References.

Acceptance of originals

  • All the proposed texts will be submitted to a preliminary review by the Editorial Commission, which will determine if they comply with the guidelines indicated here; Likewise, they will be submitted to the anti-plagiarism system through the Turnitin program, only those texts that satisfy the established norms and comply with 90% of originality, will be sent to the referees for the corresponding opinions. Otherwise, they will be returned to the authors with the pertinent indications so that they can make the necessary adjustments and send their collaboration again..

*Paragraph: Articles or essays that do not meet the criteria for evaluating the percentage of content similarity and that have (40%) or more similarity in contrast to other documents, will be grounds for immediate cancellation.

  • Accepted contributions will be subject to style and content correction, and their publication will be subject to the availability of space in each issue. Sending any collaboration to the journal implies not only the acceptance of what is established in this document, but also the authorization of the Academic Editorial Committee of the Revista Scientific to include it on its electronic page.
  • Proposed texts that comply with the previous guidelines will be sent, for their opinion or arbitration, to two external reviewers or arbitrators, with the double-blind system: the judge will not have knowledge of the identity of the author and vice versa.
  • Papers accepted with observations will be returned to their authors, who must incorporate the aforementioned modifications, which will be verified by the Editorial Committee..
  • Each author or authors will receive a copy in PDF format of the issue of the journal in which their article or essay is published, together with the Certificate of Publication.
  • Articles that obtain a favorable opinion may be scheduled for their next publication as soon as the Letter of Acceptance and Publication is issued (The presentation must comply with the phases indicated in the Editing and Publication Process: 1. Submission Queue; 2. Review of the shipment; 3. Edition of the shipment; 4. Management of the number; and 5. Publication).

Criteria of opinion

  • The judges will be international researchers and academics, with Master's or Doctorate studies, of recognized prestige, whose lines of work coincide with the topic addressed in each text. The anonymity of reviewers and authors is preserved at all times.
  • Reviewers are guaranteed not to have any relationship with the author or with the institution to which they belong.

The evaluation criteria suggested to the reviewers will be the following:

  • Attention to its content. Consider the originality, rigor, interest and timeliness of the approaches, with a maximum of (5) years of the documents used, as well as their relevance to the field of education.
  • Attention to the general structure of the work. The presentation must be made with a coherent logic and that achieves its analytical cohesion.
  • Attention to writing. Expository quality, careful writing and spelling.

The final opinion may be:

  1. Publishable with background corrections. In this case, the author will be indicated what profound modifications he must make to the work in order to publish it in the journal. The author or authors will have a period of 7 days, counted from the date of return, to present the corrected version of their text, which will be sent again to the reviewers, for them to determine the relevance of the new version.
  2. Publishable with revision. In this case, the author or authors will be informed if the work needs minor modifications, which will be indicated exactly. The author will have a period of 7 days, counted from the date of return, to present the corrected version of his text, which will be sent again to the reviewers, so that they determine the relevance of the new version.
  3. Publishable without objection. The text will automatically be scheduled for publication in the journal.

Articles or essays that are considered as NOT PUBLISHABLE, by the Academic Editorial Committee or, where appropriate, the highest authority of the area requesting Revista Scientific, will not make adjustments and agreements of any kind.

Estimated Time of Publication

*The time that elapses between the receipt of the article and the first response of the arbitrators, is from one (1) month to two (2) months; and the time between receipt and the estimated time for its publication is from three (3) months to six (6) months. Once the article is finally accepted, a letter of acceptance of their article is sent to the authors with the date on which it will be published.

  • The fascicles of the Revista Scientific are published periodically (quarterly) on the 05th (business day) of the month of February, May, August and November of each year..
