Reviewer Guidelines
Some general criteria suggested when reviewing a paper for the journal are:
1. What the article pursues in terms of:
- a. Presentation and analysis of ideas
- b. Presentation and analysis of arguments
2. What are its strengths and weaknesses?
- a. Is the article still interesting or becomes obsolete?
- b. What is the contribution of this paper to the study area?
- c. What is the validity of the ideas / arguments?
- d. Are the ideas / arguments original?
- e. Does the author explain the article ideas / arguments clearly?
- f. Are article’s ideas / arguments supported with clear examples, case studies, or data? How valid is this support?, Is it limited or representative? Is it current or obsolete?
- g. Would these ideas / arguments help in the cultural context? (Country, city, institution)
- h. Does the article present other points of view on the subject? Could it be of interest to an international reader?
- i. What is the target audience, general or specific audience? (Professors, students or researchers).
- j. What references or contributions may you recommend to the author to solve or better address the weaknes.
