The purpose of the research was to analyze the levels of anxiety due to COVID-19 (NAC) that parents present when their sons and daughters return to school. For this, the coronavirus anxiety scale was applied, according to (González-Rivera, Rosario-Rodríguez and Cruz-Santos, 2020), through the Google Forms platform. A non-probabilistic convenience sample of 88 people, 18 fathers and 70 mothers of families with at least one child who studied in private or public basic education in the city of Campeche, Mexico, was selected. The results show significant differences between the groups of mothers from public schools and fathers from private schools (P ≤ .05). It is concluded that, although the levels of anxiety due to COVID that the sample presented are minimal, the level of concern for contagion by COVID before the return to school of their child(ren) is high, especially in schools public.
