Abstract

The present study will aim to implement strategies for the preservation of petroglyphs in the Pedraza municipality. The preservation of the archaeological heritage is the foundation of the preservation of the history and tradition of a society, and therefore of development, of an accumulation of experiences and contributions transmitted from generation to generation as an irreplaceable legacy for the community, for this The purpose of this research is to implement strategies for the preservation of petroglyphs directed at students of the State Unitary Basic School "Sabaneta" Municipality Pedraza Barinas State, under the qualitative paradigm, supported by the action research method Participatory approach. The key informants were made up of three (3) subjects belonging to the Basic State Unitary School "Sabaneta". The technique and analysis of the information to be used will be, participant observation and in-depth interview, which will be processed through categorization, triangulation and theorizing to obtain the conclusions of the same. The research will allow to reorient actions to other scales and instances, from where a new process of conservation of the archaeological heritage in the academic activities of the students in the educational institutions may emerge.
