Abstract

This article aims to generate an analysis of the managerial competencies of the school manager based on emotional intelligence, which is oriented in a new vision of reality. Focused under the Research Line: The leadership of the director as a process of transformation of educational institutions. The nature of the research is framed in the qualitative paradigm, with a field design and descriptive level. The modality used was phenomenology and hermeneutics, since its purpose is to interpret an internal and personal reality, unique and proper to each human being. The instrument used was the in-depth interview, applied to three (3) teachers in the managerial function of three (3) primary education institutions, taking into consideration the freedom of the respondent to show the emotional phenomena that actually occur, the information collected will be Analyzed and validated through triangulation. The results will allow the establishment of the relationship between emotional intelligence and the basic managerial competencies of the school manager in the basic education educational institutions, seeking to foster a cordial management that seeks to conduct the organizational process, along with social and educational demands, Where a quality education is guaranteed, through a managerial style that combines philosophies, skills, traits and attitudes inherent to the behavior of the director who has the responsibility of directing groups and is able to give solution to the problems presented in the context institutional.
