Keywords:
disability, public management, diversity, inclusionAbstract
This article analyzes the public management of functional disability from a diversity and inclusion approach. A qualitative documentary and descriptive study was conducted through a systematic review of 30 scientific articles selected from databases such as Dialnet, Scopus, Google Scholar, and SciELO, published between 2017 and 2024. The results reveal a growing interest in meeting the transportation, education, employment, housing, health, and psychological support needs of people with disabilities at national, regional, and international levels. The implementation of legal frameworks and policies to protect their rights is evident, although challenges persist in their effective application. Public management plays a fundamental role in promoting social inclusion by eliminating physical, social, and educational barriers. However, gaps are identified in the fulfillment of social programs and preferential attention to this vulnerable group. The conclusion highlights the need to advance specific policies and actions to ensure the full participation of people with disabilities.
