Sustainability is a key component for organizational development in economic, social, and environmental spheres. This study determines an action system for organizational sustainability, reflecting activities that lead to adequate sustainable development. A qualitative approach with deductive methodology was employed, based on theoretical research. Theoretical methods were used to describe sustainability and an action system based on four stages: analysis, parameters, guidance, and control; considering the role of each thematic pillar. The review encompassed 52 Spanish-language documents from the last five years, using academic databases. Concepts, aspects, models, and strategies of organizational sustainability were analyzed. The proposed action system includes: analysis of the current situation, determination of sustainable parameters, guide of activities per pillar, and control of results. The findings indicate that sustainability becomes a frame of reference for improving operational efficiency, fostering relationships with stakeholders, generating added value, and being competitive in the long term. It is concluded that sustainability is fundamental for organizations seeking to balance economic growth with environmental preservation and social responsibility. This study reflects relevant data for organizations, from sustainability concepts to an action system for long-term sustainable enterprises.
