The following lines offer a perspective on teacher training as an unfinished task that needs to be addressed in today's society. It emphasizes the need for comprehensive and continuous preparation of teachers to face contemporary challenges, especially in a context where technology and artificial intelligence play a crucial role, and information is accessible to students with a single click. This piece aims to open a space for reflection on the global and integrative approach that should characterize teacher training, highlighting the importance of professionalization and constant updating of educational practices. Teacher training should encompass pedagogical, didactic, and technological competencies, providing a solid foundation in educational theory and promoting critical reflection and pedagogical experimentation. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of initial and continuous training, adapted to specific contexts and aligned with global trends. Collaboration between governments, universities, and research centers is essential to improve teacher training strategies and ensure quality education.
