Abstract

The intersection of transformational leadership and strategic management increasingly defines the real possibilities of achieving educational quality in institutions operating within volatile digital environments. This editorial rests on a simple yet frequently overlooked premise: technology does not transform on its own. What transforms is the managerial capacity to align resources, people, and purposes around concrete pedagogical objectives. From this conviction, we examine how flexible governance models and the redefinition of leadership competencies shape the construction of learning environments that not only incorporate digital tools, but invest them with meaning. The text aims to open a necessary debate within the academic community about the role of the educational leader as an agent of genuine transformation, not merely nominal, in today's context.
