This document delves into the crucial importance of educational research in the current educational landscape. It presents itself as a beacon that illuminates the path towards a profound renewal of teaching and learning paradigms. Anchored in scientific rigor, its purpose is to generate knowledge that allows for understanding the challenges and opportunities of the educational process. Its role as a foundation for proposing innovative and effective solutions is highlighted, aimed at transforming education from its roots, promoting inclusive, equitable learning adapted to the needs of a globalized and technological society. Its capacity to illuminate pedagogical practices that respond not only to traditional academic demands but also to essential skills for the future is emphasized. It is based on authors such as Kemmis, McTaggart, and Nixon (2013); Stenhouse (2003); Hattie (2023); Gimeno (2011); and Pérez (2012), who highlight its benefits in improving teaching, decision-making, innovation, and teacher professionalization. However, challenges such as insufficient investment, lack of teacher training in research, and difficulties in disseminating results are also addressed. Multifaceted recommendations are proposed to strengthen educational research as an essential catalyst for innovation and continuous improvement in education.
