Burnout syndrome affects professionals who interact with users, impacting their job performance. This research sought to establish the relationship between burnout and job performance in judicial servants of Panama's criminal justice system. The methodology employed a quantitative approach with a correlational type and non-experimental design. A convenience sample of 97 judicial servants was selected. Two validated questionnaires were applied: the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to measure burnout and EVADEST to evaluate job performance. Statistical analysis was conducted using Spearman's correlation. Results showed a relatively high prevalence of burnout, especially in emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, with medium-high averages, and high personal accomplishment. Job performance presented medium levels across all evaluated dimensions. A significant negative correlation between burnout and job performance was confirmed, with confidence levels of 99% and 95%. The research concludes that there is a direct relationship between burnout syndrome and job performance of judicial servants, suggesting the need to implement programs to improve the work environment, prevent occupational diseases, and optimize performance. This study contributes to understanding burnout in the judicial system and provides a basis for developing strategies to enhance the well-being and effectiveness of judicial servants.
