This document explores and analyzes the Pedagogy of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) from a critical perspective that advocates for an innovative and sustainable educational model. It is approached as a field of knowledge under construction that studies the essence and trends of the Professional Pedagogical Process, including its theory and methodology. The education-work relationship is highlighted as an essential dialectical core for understanding the formation of key competencies in a dynamic and technologized labor market. This aspect becomes the center of attention for professional pedagogy and its didactics. Predominant pragmatic, utilitarian, and economistic approaches are discussed, contrasting them with more comprehensive and innovative perspectives on experiential learning. The contributions of authors such as Dewey (1967); Guillermo (2013); and Abreu (1996), are analyzed, emphasizing the importance of the balance between theory and practice, meaningful learning, solving real problems, case analysis, and project-based learning. Finally, an innovative and sustainable educational model is proposed that articulates education, work, social development, economy, equity, and the environment through the systematization of experiences and the integration of scientific knowledge.
