Educational research in the era of liquid modernity presents significant methodological challenges. In a globalized and constantly changing world, research involves providing answers to fundamental problems that concern human beings, bringing into play faculties such as discovery, wonder, observation, and social sensitivity. Educational research seeks to expand knowledge of the educational phenomenon, addressing ethical, moral, political, and social aspects. This represents a challenge for teachers, who must understand the complexity of the educational process and seek answers to present needs. The Bolivarian University of Ecuador (UBE) is conducting training programs in educational research from a complexity perspective, with the aim of providing theoretical guidelines that guide the research management of teachers and improve the teaching-learning process of students. These programs seek to unify content and promote a multidimensional understanding of educational reality, understanding that there is no reality that can be understood in a one-dimensional way.
