El Storytelling: Un Enfoque Innovador para Potenciar el Aprendizaje Significativo en Ambientes Educativos

The integration of technologies in Ecuadorian education is imperative in the post-pandemic context. This study explored the application of storytelling as an innovative didactic strategy to promote meaningful learning in basic and secondary education. The research adopted a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, with a sample of 40 teachers from the Buena Fe-Valencia Educational District, Ecuador. Surveys and interviews were used to collect data. The results revealed that 90% of teachers consider it necessary to incorporate storytelling into their pedagogical practices, recognizing its potential to improve student participation and understanding. However, a significant gap was identified in the knowledge and implementation of digital narratives. In response, the implementation of an AI-based story generator (AI Story Generator) was proposed to facilitate the integration of storytelling in the classroom. It was concluded that storytelling has the potential to positively transform the educational environment, increasing participation and concept retention, but requires ongoing support and professional development for its effective implementation.
