Teaching performance and its relationship with transformational leadership are fundamental elements for educational quality. This research aimed to determine the relationship between transformational leadership and teaching performance in District 09D02 of Guayaquil during 2023. A quantitative methodology with a non-experimental, correlational-cross-sectional design was employed, applying a validated questionnaire to 225 teachers. Results revealed predominantly low levels in teaching performance (60,0%), with particular emphasis on institutional innovation (61,3%), professional motivation (52,4%), and institutional commitment (51,6%), while pedagogical management showed a medium level (50,7%). Spearman's correlation analysis showed a high and positive relationship between transformational leadership and teaching performance (rho=0,746, p<0,01). It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between both variables, suggesting that strengthening transformational leadership could improve teaching performance. The findings support the need to implement strategies to strengthen directive leadership and promote professional development.
