School violence constitutes a problem that affects the institutional climate and the well being of educational communities. The objective of this research was to determine the impact of socio-emotional support as an aid to school management in violent environments at the Unidad Educativa Réplica Técnico Simón Bolívar in Guayaquil, Ecuador. A mixed methodological approach (quantitative-qualitative) was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques. The sample consisted of 54 night shift high school students, 43 teachers, and 4 administrators, selected through intentional non probabilistic sampling. Structured questionnaires validated by expert judgment with reliability coefficients of 0,80 and 0,92 were applied, in addition to semistructured interviews with administrators. The results revealed deficiencies in school climate, difficulties in conflict management, and disruptive behaviors in certain student groups. It was identified that 91% of teachers consider training in socioemotional support necessary, although only 46% perceive the available human resources as sufficient. It is concluded that socioemotional support has a positive impact on school management, therefore a program of practical workshops validated by experts is proposed to strengthen the socioemotional competencies of administrators and teachers.
