The study analyzes the educational manager's role in assertive communication and work environment at “Cristóbal Colón” Educational Unit. Based on communication and organizational climate theories, the research employed a qualitative approach through surveys applied to 40 teachers. Results revealed that only 27,50% of teachers consider that the educational manager frequently demonstrates leadership skills, while 57,50% perceive assertive communication only occasionally. 77,50% of respondents recognize that effective communication promotes collaborative work, and 82,50% support the implementation of training workshops. The research identified deficiencies in communication channels, feedback, and delivery deadlines as main workplace conflicts. The study concludes that strengthening the educational manager's assertive communication skills constitutes an effective strategy to optimize the institutional work environment, with training workshops being a viable intervention to transform institutional dynamics, improve staff motivation, and facilitate the achievement of objectives.
